Peace in Nepal

The Developments in Nepal are one of an interesting nailbiting crime thriller, Starting from the Palace coups where the entire Royal family has been wiped out mysteriously the prince who was also shot at from behind was put as accused to the autocratic Gyanendra assuming the throne a very divine role that the people of Nepal consider it to be and acting no more better than a dictator. The Nepals biggest revolution of all times leaving the world guessing if it would be a monarchy or a democracy.  The best thing is the transformation of the maoist mindset from that of an armed struggle to a Domocratic and peaceful one.

“Our experiences have shown that we could not achieve our goal through armed revolution so we have chosen the path of negotiation and formed an alliance with the political parties,” the 51-year-old Maoist leader said.
Look at what prachanda has to say about the Nepalese transformation as a country and his armed struggle. A leader with a vast understanding and out of the box thinking he is considered the architect of Maoist struggle and its victories. Considered close to the Indian leadership who have been successful in ending the fierce bloodshed and bringing the warring parties to the negotiation table.

And the Nepalese revolution with Seven party alliance joining hands with the Maoists who have a control thats more confident than the Govt in the vast country side has yielded results taht are laudable. The evolution of Nepal as a democracy couldnt be stopped by none.
Although there are differences on the Accord which is claimed to be Historical theres no denying the fact that no body can satisfy everybody.

Concerns still remain

The best thing was India’s role as a patron of democracy and not that of the Nurturing the Monarchy which used to be the case earlier. Might be one reason was the presence of the left in the UPA the coalation apower in Delhi. Prachanda the man behind the maoist struggle applauds indaia’a role and the world applauds too. Its not all yet over, its just the begining. And a peaceful and stable neighbourhood benefits India which is bubbling with the EWconomic leadership as well as aspiring to play a leading role in the world today.

There are many other issues tan meet the eyes…

Water is increasingly emerging as a scarce commodity, fueled by population pressures, intensive irrigation, and erratic weather patterns brought on by global warming.

The Ganges-Brahmaputra-Meghna region comprises the catchment areas of three major river systems that flow through India, Nepal, Bhutan, China and Bangladesh. This system is second only to the Amazon.

Nepal’s rivers have the potential to generate 83,000 MW of electricity through hydropower generation…

I’ve just touched the tip of the real iceberg here…

    Speculation: It’s Water Wars…

Sankaran might be this is just a begining, and the Indian positive intervention might get things across to the friendly handshake resolution.

VEERU THE STABILITY IN THE ERSTWHILE KINGDOM OF NEPAL IS OF UTMOST IMPORTANCE TO INDIA, BECUSE OF CHINA BEING ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE BORDER OF NEPAL, THIS IS A STRATEGIC BUFFER WHICH INDIA IS LEFT WITH AFTER THE OCUPATION & AGGRESSION OF TIBET IN 1962, BUT UPRISING MAOIST FORCE & THE POWER TO CONTROL THAT NATIONS PEACE IS A MATTER OF GRAVE CONCERN FOR INDIA, WHERE THE NAXAL MOVEMENT IS ALSO BEING FUNDED BY THE CHINA, THIS HLDS A DARK PATCH THOUGH, I WOULD NOT REALLY ABLE TO SAY TOO MUCH RIGHT NOE BUT THE FACT THAT THE CONTROL OF THE NEPALES GOVERNMENT HAS INDIRECTLY IS GOING TO SLIDE INTO THE HANDS OF THE COMMUNISTS, THAT TIME WILL OBVIOUSLY PROOVE(REFER TO THE NEWS THAT IS CLEARL;Y STATED THAT THE HIGHWAYS & RAILROADS HAVE BEEN BROADLY LAID ON THE CHINESE SIDE OF THE NEPALESE BORDER. THE CHINA BEING A COMMUNIST POWER IS DEFINITELY A CLEAR & PRESENT DANGER TO THE THE INDIAN REPUBLIC IMMEDEATELY.
THE BIGGEST MISTAKE OF THE INDIAN FOREIGN POLICY HAS COME TO THE LIMELIGHT IN THIS CASE TOOO, WHERE THE INDIAN GOVERNMENT FAILED TO APPRECIATE THE IMPORTANCE OF THE HAPPENINGS IN NEPAL SINCE LAST ONE DECADE.
TYHEEARLY INSTALLATION OF THE DEMOCRACY IN NEPAL SHOULD HAVE BEEN ASSISTED BY THE INDIAN POLICY MAKERS.
RIGHT NOW THIS NATION IS BEING USED BY THE ISI FOR INFILTRATION , BESIDES THE NAXAL LOGISTICS FROM CHINA TO INDIA.
IF INDIA STILL FAILS TO TAKE THE TOLL & COUNT OF THE SITUATION IT WOULD LEAD TO DRASTIC CONSEQUENCES.
WITH THE ALLIES CHINA & PAKISTAN , THE TIMES FOR INDIAN SUBCONTINENT ARE DIFFICULT AHEAD

I WISH THAT SAME PROCESS OF PEACE CONTINUES IN NEPAL & THE MAOIST PEOPLE CAN BE DISLOFGED PEACEFULLY IN THAT NATION

    Just someone:
Thank you Just someone and we all pray it has a vibrant democracy.

    RAVI:
Iam too apprehensive of the Maoists and the China role. But Ravi going by the trend in Indian foreign affairs past 10 years has changed the wind and We can hope better than the sour relationships and wars from the giant. Not to mention the Tibetan oppression Iam cautious of my reactions on China. I have been to Lugsung Samduping Tibetan Settlement
Bylakuppe, Dist. Mysore; Karnataka Tel 91 8276 74359 some 240 Kms from bangalore and 80 and odd Kms from mysore. I bought some vidoes that were originally shot in China, disturbing and the amount of brutality inflicted on them is unwatchable even on TV after somany years.
