It was a wonderful journey into exotic Northeast from Guwhati to Itanagar and onwards to Shillong.
The timing was a bit wonderful for me only but for scores others the rains brought grief… It was another world with its own pleasant surpises for me only and for others it was suffering and grief. The rains inundated or created landslides cutting off the city from rest of the world. Its life as usual for many and for some like me it was adventure to get out of the place in such a turbulent weather. The road was closed for 3 days while people died and roads were cut by the natural streamlets I had to trek atleast at 3 places from Itanagar to Nharlagun 25 kms from Itanagar. It was awesome weather and I was enjoying it while at the same time feeling bad for those suffering.
With no Mobile phones (in the first place my CDMA based Reliance was not supported and airtel being prepaid connection was also disconnected) i was totally breaking free of all distrubances. Enjoying my days outing and working while at nights with a couple of drinks all alone ofcourse with no power it was blissful star gazing atnights from my hotel windows.
