The Joint statement and the heart burns

Its been quite a tiring day after the running around and last nights heavy rain the weather was pleasant but the travel takes the air out of you. All the Radio shows today were on the rain and also the shortage / polluted drinking water supply in delhi.

While going thru the newspapers I was wondering of the stupidity that the Indian Prime Minister who incidentally is one of my favourite personalities (Infact I wrote to him once and the gentleman he was replied promptly when he was the opp leader) has said about the Baloch and the Terror delinking statement at NAM summit. He either is a stupidest politician or wants all of us to be one.

July 16, 2009; Sharm El Sheikh;
Prime Minister Gilani mentioned that Pakistan has some information on threats in Balochistan and other areas.
Both Prime Ministers recognized that dialogue is the only way forward. Action on terrorism should not be linked to the Composite Dialogue process and these should not be bracketed. Prime Minister Singh said that India was ready to discuss all issues with Pakistan, including all outstanding issues.

And the most irritating part was How can somebody be so naive and suceptible atleast the position taht he holds fully aware taht pak will cash in on the baloch mention. Iam sure it was not a mistake but wantedly done blunder. May be he is so innocent but we dont need innocent leaders to lead a country like India. We need visionaries and I am sure Mr singh has lost his chance to be one. Although the credit for our current prosperity goes to him I cannot understan his Baloch blunder.

(Statement July 17th Click here) “As the Joint Statement says, action on terrorism should not be linked to the composite dialogue process, and therefore cannot await other developments. It was agreed that the two countries will share real time, credible and actionable information on any future terrorist threats,” he said.

Prime Minister said India seeks cooperative relations with Pakistan and engagement was the only way forward to realise the vision of a stable and prosperous South Asia living in peace and amity.

“We are willing to go more than half way provided Pakistan creates the conditions of a meaningful dialogue. I hope that there is forward movement in the coming months,” the Prime Minister said.

And the latest nes is that the pakistani establishment especially the Army is cebrating the blunder of the Indian PM and his extra large hearted treatment to Pakistan fully knowing the credibility and past largesse bestowed right from Mahatma to nehru to Indira and Vajpayee and now its our own PM Manmohan.

NEW DELHI: Encouraged by its success in getting Balochistan inserted in the India-Pakistan joint statement in Sharm el-Sheikh, Islamabad is cranking up its propaganda machinery to raise the bogey of India’s meddling in its volatile province. (Video)
Reports in the US media quoting official sources said Pakistan army chief Ashfaque Kayani recently sought to link Pakistan’s actions against Lashkar-e-Taiba with India putting a stop to its alleged covert operations in Balochistan.
The reports in US media said that while Kayani had promised to “control” LeT, claiming “we are being more vigilant”, he stressed that India should halt its operations in Balochistan. “By the way, India has to stop messing around in Balochistan,” US media quoted Pakistani officials as saying.
