A walk through the History

Was travelling with a couple of friends in Hyderabad. Primrily it was a normal trip to a temple but then it turned out to be a wonderful experience in to the history.

When we decided to walk in to the temple in chandrayan gutta OLD CITY hyderabad, we never knew it would be an enriching experience. (Its another thing that i was reluctant and had to wake myself up at 5:00am) In to the temple and we knew it was a beautiful place. The local folklore and the priests adn their own version of thing addding upto the folklore was amazing.

I love folklore for whatever reasons.

The priest says that the hillock was Keshavagiri / chenna gutta later turned out to be chandrayana gutta. The folklore goes that the local musalman (Islamic) officer of the Muslim rulers was travelling on a horse driven cart and the horse stopped. He enquired his servant who supplies Pan / beetle leaves and he was amazed to hear from him that if he goes up the hill and comes back the journey would go smooth. Not believing he tried to force the horse in vain. Then he heeded the advice and climbed up the hill only to find a peaceful place and ordered to build a nice temple.

Another story in the puranas / ancient text mentions that some great seer penanced here as a result he had visions of both Shiva and Hari/ vishnu. That is one reason the hill temple has both Shiva and vishnu temples with similar mustaches.

Then there is a small but magnificient temple in the rear corner of the hill. The Bramarambika temple. the folklore goes that the local shepheard saw a beautiful girl with ornaments and followed her she proceded into a crack and disappeared. He searched all over only to find an Idol life sized. She is known to be the mallanna or Shivas consort.

We then went to see the Charminar and the guide gave a beautiful account of the place his version that usuallly amazes the tourists. thats the beauty of travelling you get to be enlightened. Then the mecca masjid and ofcource the lunch at city centre mall INDIGO. Yummy and sleepy.

A unknown singer and the story

This is about a telugu song by an Unknown and not Anonymous lyricist. When I first heard it while travelling in an Auto rickshaw I didnt feel anything but the auto driver gave me the story of (not necessarily true and spiced up) that the song was written by a Love bug bitten true romeo and the girl rejected him. The boy committed suicide and I hated it. Then The autowallah also elaborated that the song became so famous that all the internet (notice how tech has taken over) and all of the CD and DVD shops music stores (unorganiosed) are buzzing with the song.

Then I cam ehome and searched online only to find variations of the story I heard. Then the truth revealed.

The beauty of the song is his emotions and the amazing part is theres an answer from another girl for the song. Most amazing is they both are offered a chance in Tollywood (telugu film industry) by a lead successful 2 film hero.

2012

Well this one was when we thought of watching a movie together with 12 friends and planned it but at the end of the day the programme went wary and only 6 of us landed in the theatre that too for 2012.

Well i liked the movie. I liked the graphics and everything but when I came out of the theatre I was a dissatisfied man. No nothing to do with the movie. Its just that China had the bigger focus in the movie building the Biblical Modern NOAHs ARK.And Indians were just shown as some kinda poverty striken ignorant idiots. Although the film shows at the begining that It was this Indian that joins the dots and completes the puzzle which had predictions in MAYAN culture and other mythologies. But thats a small consolation to a knowledge society like India.

Bharat varsha or India deserves much better role. I dont blame the producers / directors of the movie coz we have been mild and shying away from our role in world affairs. Often tying ourselves to the meagre issues with Pakistan, china or some irrelavent issue. Well may be there is a need for more research, more outward focus we have had enough of the simple talk now let us take on and take over the world with the light of knowledge and power of wisdom. Technology can thus be a tool.

Who was it that said India conquered china without sending a single soldier!

And who said that India has the light that can brighten the universe.

May be iam pampering my ego too much but I would like to see the day when we lead through peace and harmony. Away from the attacks and suicide bombings only into a garden of fragnance.

Kurbaan

As written in my earlier post, I was really looking forward to this movie and its such a damn dud that I could not imagine any other movie that can match this one. Kareena …. saif… none not one of them and please do not talk of the script and the screen play that is such a pathetic patchwork.

The cliches and the routineness prevails and atleast the message that I get out of the movie is Islam doesnt allow women freedom and its ok to kill your wife. My God thats such a big revelation and I am impressed!

How can somebody be such a fool in producing such a devastatingly poor script?!

At the end of the day its my loss and I came hanging and clinging to the walls for some support.

Movies and reality religious conversion

I have been wanting to watch 2012 The film for atleast a week and u know what I could not. Ask me What I was doing and I would say intantly nothing! Then why was I incapable I would say Lazy and too fed up.

Now comming to the question of 2012 I really feel I would not believe any such thing. Like Kalam said ‘there would be many changes that would be happening in 2012 but its not the end of the world’

I was reading this interview with saif regarding kurbaan and I really felt he was honest and the thing regarding his personal opinion of converting after marriage I vote for it. But you know what I also think on a second thought its not feasible unless and until you are very very understanding. When I say you it is two of them the couple.

Saif Ali Khan: Not really because I would never want her to. That is the trouble with religion really it expects conversion. I don’t buy or believe that any more. I think it’s good that the government has – unless I’m misinformed about the law – amended it to include it in the Special Marriage Act. If and when we do get married no one has to change his or her religion.

Rajeev Masand: Your family would be comfortable as well if she chose to continue her faith?

Saif Ali Khan: Certainly. And so they should be because it’s such a personal thing. I mean if you wanted to take someone’s daughter and make him or her into Muslims or say someone wanted to convert me into a Jain, my mother would be worried. You must be loyal to your home.

Well then now I have one more movie waiting and the list increases by the day. For some reason I just wanted to also watch NEWYORK. I hated the realistic movies or offbeat cinema. For there is too much reality. ANd I am not against that kind of cinema but I personally would not like to watch them for the simple reason that we watch a movie for a small relaxation and why would we pay and cry.

India mourns, remembers its heroes

Its 26/11 and the saddest day in Indian History. I was watching the T^V and there we are unable to digest what happened to us and unable to figure out what we really need. We Indians no we as human beings ?! May be but then why is all this bloodshed ? We make rules to live happily and comfortably .. But why do we often get martyred for the rules that we have made ? Isnt it foolish was all I was thinking all along.

May be I donot understand whats happening in a philosophical sense but yes I do understand the pain the grief and the sufferings of my fellow being. Be it in Afghanistan / India / pakistan/ somalia / darfur ..

Then why is that people do not understand the value of life. Sometime glorifying the death and at others glorifying the suffering ?

Anyways the Times Now talk was informative and CNN IBN was a bit lighter and News X was philosophical.

At the end I would just ask you to sign up and support the Indian martyrs. May there be peace.

The Strange and freaky Obama has gone nuts before he bows out to the japanese and then to the chinese across the border. He even could not resist dragging Indo -Pak in to his chinese Bowing spree and invites china (as if he knows is competent enough. ! look at his Israel-palestine issue handling).

He almost became a hated figure in Israel in his haste to stand up to his well orated speaches and fell flat at the same time the man that won a Nobel for I do not know what? has almost pushed the poor Mahmood abbas to resignation in peace fervour.

Barack Obama seems to have failed dismally in his first sustained attempt to show he is serious about making peace between Israel and the Palestinians. Obituaries for the hope generated by his election, peaking in his Cairo speech in June, are being written in Arabic, Hebrew, and English. For those who never believed that even Obama could succeed where Bill Clinton failed in the final days of his presidency, this was a death foretold.

So Is Obama rushing if yes where ? May be his week long holiday every couple of months or I really do not know what  d —–?

Lookat the statements he is been making right from the day he started campaigning. They are no more than speaches. I was one of the first to jump on to the Obamania and shout at the top of my voice to give him a chance. But ridiculous does it sound now.

I was watching the Discussion last night on the TIMES NOW news Television but could not figure out what the three politicians were shouting ” ofcourse it was at each other. The Sitaram yechury was on the wall trying not to say anything against china and Ravishankar prasad shouting at both manish tiwari of the congress and Sitaram Yechury. While the Host was shouting (actually knownfor this Mr Go Sawamy) to keep in pace. Manish tiwari trying to push both Sitaram & Ravishankar prasad tpo the corner. God hell of a show for a mid night bored freak.

India on Wednesday trashed a reference to South Asia in a US-China joint statement that seemed to suggest a role for China in resolving disputes between Delhi and Islamabad. “A third-country role cannot be envisaged nor is it necessary,” External Affairs Ministry spokesman Vishnu Prakash said. He made it clear that bilateral dialogue – and that too only when Pakistan stopped terror attacks being launched from its territory – was the only way forward with Pakistan.

But strategic experts think the US-China joint statement was indicative of an increasing convergence of interests between the US and China.

“The interests of US and China have converged. There is a new cooperation between the US and China on Pakistan and Afghanistan. He further maintained that India came very low in the Obama administration’s list of priority. “He doesn’t have India in his policy. India is only marginally present.”

Our culture, our traditions and our cuisine are all the same. We watch the same movies and sing the same songs. What is it that Indians have and we don’t?
